BASICS

Hello, hello, everyone and welcome to my carrd for Burgeon! Some of you may know me already, but for those who don't, the admin behind this account is named Autumn and goes by she/her pronouns (: I'm also 23, so this url will be exclusively for those who are 18+!Anyhow, I'm going to keep my introduction rather short and sweet for now. Thus, the first thing I wanted to touch upon is how I am a semi-literate to literate roleplayer, so I will usually write at least a few paragraphs whenever I respond to asks / threads. However,   I don't want anyone to feel obligated to match the length of my replies,   so you can totally write a shorter / longer response to things if you'd like. I am also keeping this account private so those who I've followed and who have followed me back will be those who I interact with on here. And as such, I'm also selective, though please do not think this is a personal slight against any of you. I just find it easier this way to curate my space, you know?So yeah... as for personal blogs, I have allowed them to interact with me in the past, but I now am going to   limit interaction with them on this account.   This does not apply to those who have their RP accounts as side-blogs, of course, but if you do own a personal blog and like my stuff - that's awesome! And you are free to follow me if you want. However, I will ask you to not reblog any of my posts. This is due to personal preference. This blog is currently medium activity, though this may fluctuate between that and low activity. Real life does come first for me and because I am both a college student + I have a part time gig, I will usually as a rule not be able to get to everything within a specific amount of time.So, I ask that you   please be patient with me whenever it comes to replies!   However, if it has been a while since I have last replied to a thread of ours, feel free to poke me by sending me a message in IM's. You do not have to notify me if you want a thread dropped as, of course, things happen IRL that are more important than Tumblr. I do sometimes drop threads myself but do let me know if you want to keep a certain one and I'll be more than happy to do so.Also, I'd just like to talk about this briefly as I feel its relevant to my rules as well. And that's that, if you wish to curate your space by blocking me if we had been following each other for a time before, then of course that's totally fine! The only ask I have is that you please hard-block me. I also promise this isn't to make anyone's life harder. I just find that with how glitchy tumblr can be at times, that if people soft-block me... then it can lead to confusion on my part as to why I'm not following someone anymore. This is because it would leave room for me to think that tumblr could've made us unfollow each other, and so I'd rather be clear that someone wishes to not interact anymore that way.Callouts are things that I will not post a lot of, but if there is someone on this platform that is dangerous / has harmed someone else, then I will reblog them.

MAINS & SHIPS

Whenever it comes to shipping, I will absolutely allow it with Blamore! I must say that I may be a bit more selective than usual whenever it comes to romantic relationships with him, as he is a character whom is perhaps a bit overly focused on his goals and this leads him to not actively pursue them about half the time. Thus, please do not take this personally! If you want to see whether your muse and him could develop one, then my IM's are always open, or my discord is available upon request if you'd rather talk there. Blamore is multi-ship so I am open to it having romantic relationships with several muses.I am also going to participate in mains on here as well, just to let you all know! This group is going to contain the people that I interact with on a normal basis so anyone has the capability of becoming one. This does not mean that I don't love each and every one of my mutuals, as I promise you that I do! It just basically means that they'll be given a spot here on my carrd :D

TRIGGERS

I want to make my account be as comfortable and safe of a space as possible, so triggers on this account will always be tagged with this indicator on the post 'tw: [insert type of content here].' That way, you can avoid certain types of posts if you so choose to. I myself do not have any particular triggers whenever it comes to RP, as I can't lie — I am pretty desensitized to things — but there will be mature / potentially triggering themes featured throughout my account, which I will list here.a brief mention of physical abuse, emotional abuse / manipulation, narcissistic abuse, body horror, bones (human), classism, murder, mental illness, heavy violence, blood/minor gore, and medical procedures.

INTERACTING

Let me start off by saying that this blog is single-muse; however, I may occasionally include play other characters that have a role in Blamore's story + that I have created, such as the MD Nico Morselli. And although this is a mainly DC oriented blog, I am totally up for cross-overs / creating new verses in which Blamore can interact with your characters in. Thus, I'd say I am quite flexible whenever it comes to this. Also, this blog is duplicate friendly, so I am more than willing to interact with different iterations of the same character!As for whether I will interact with multi-muses — of course!! I think they are so fun, honestly. My roleplaying style is iconless and will have very limited formatting, but if any of you guys like to use either of those or both, then I say more power to you. And so It's absolutely fine if you do while rping with me. The only request that I have is to not use super small text, as It can be hard for me to read. I am not selective whenever it comes to what OC's I will interact with, as I believe everyone deserves a chance and I loveee OC's in general. I do just want to make everyone aware that what happened in the comics regarding Mister Bloom, or Blamore in this case, will only be slightly accurate whenever it comes to my portrayal of him. Thus, he is highly canon divergent and because of that, if you guys have any questions about who it is / what it hopes to accomplish in my portrayal of him / events that have occurred surrounding him... please let me know and I'd be more than happy to answer them!!Plotting is absolutely something that I encourage y'all to do with me. However, it is not required to interact with me, so don't ever be afraid to send me random sentence starters or questions in my askbox if you want to! I love creating new relationships between characters, platonic or otherwise. But if you would like to plot with me, I'd very much be up for that and so feel free to send me an IM / reach out to me in some way if you want to talk about dynamics / potential plots.Regarding nsfw, I do not actively roleplay smut at the moment, but I will delve into suggestive topics on this account sometimes. This may change sometime in the future, but for now, there may be some sexual themes on this account but not too much.

NOPE

First and foremost, do not participate in godmodding with me. If I see any kind of bigotry, which means anything from homophobia, racism, zionism, misogyny, and more then I will block as well as report you. The rpc is no place for that, in my opinion. I will also not interact with 'genderbent' muses or any characters from the Harry Potter franchise. I know that I had written this in a previous section but I will also not interact with anyone under the age of 18. Thus, if I see that you are a minor and have followed me, this will result in me blocking you. I just don't feel comfortable with it as an adult.

IMPORTANT PORTRAYAL NOTES

  • Blamore, or Burgeon which is what he will more commonly go by, is a character who I have centered around depicting a lot of nature horror in particular combined with eldritch horror. And just in case you are not too familiar with eldritch horror, it is basically a type of fiction that emphasizes the horror of the unknowable and incomprehensible more than gore or other elements of shock. Therefore, although Burgeon does have weaknesses, they may not be widely known and with how uncanny his transformation / powers have made him... if your character is a hero figure or looking to defeat him for any reason, it may take some time. Because although he is not invulnerable, I think in the underground Burgeon is viewed as more of a force of nature than a person now.

BIOGRAPHY

  THE ROAD TO DAMNATION  BLAMORE DASSAULT, or BURGEON, is a power broker who is relatively new to Gotham's underground; though he has made himself quite known already as it's way of distributing power is very unusual and through the use of 'seeds' meant to give people abilities. He had actually acquired these because he was the first participant of a man named Dorian Christensen's illegal superhuman experiments through the use of a 'seed.' And although their entire composition is unknown, these seeds were made to consumed by the user. Then, it would essentially try to force them to mutate by putting them through intense physical stress. Blamore at first seemed to be a failure of the experiment as it caused his heart to stop for about three minutes; but after being revived by Christensen's medical team, the lab was filled with his screams due to how it began contorting his body. Blamore had become something that wasn't quite human but wasn't entirely monstrous either and he was enraged by this. No one had told it that it was going to be this bad, as Christensen had come to him one day after learning of his displeasure with the current crime-ridden state of Gotham... and he offered him the chance to help people much more than he could as just a human being.But Blamore wasn't always this way. Born in Annecy to Sacha and Thérèse Dassault, he would spend the first ten years of his life in the canal-filled town located in the French Alps. Though his childhood was certainly not what he imagined it would be. His mother, Thérèse, had found heard about how good of a person Sacha (Blamore's father) was from one of his friends at a party and after talking with him... Thérèse decided to pursue Sacha romantically because she had created an idealized version of him in her head. And they seemed to click, though Sacha did feel like Thérèse could be a little hot-and-cold sometimes; as well as uncharacteristically attention-seeking. She had chalked this up to her being insecure, however, and so they continued with their romance. When Thérèse had found out that she was pregnant, though, her true nature started to shine through more as she saw the baby as a threat to 'stealing all of the attention away from her.' And because she was trying to become a rising movie star, this especially made her panic because Thérèse genuinely believed that her life / dreams would be over if she had a child.Though needless to say, because she was from a wealthy family whom was already unsupportive of her, they told Thérèse to simply 'shape up' and to accept that she was going to become a mother soon. They also demanded for Sacha to marry her in a very covert way as the family she was born in was very toxic in general and believed a child shouldn't be born out of wedlock because it would 'make them look bad.' Thus, Sacha and Thérèse got married. And whenever Blamore was born, she was very dispassionate / bitter towards him. So unfortunately, as he grew up, Thérèse would verbally and emotionally abuse Blamore as she was a covert narcissist. And due to his father being away most of the time due to him having a very busy job as a prosecutor, Sacha wasn't aware of the abuse. Though Thérèse would also lovebomb, as well as gaslight and manipulate Sacha throughout the years into staying with her, so he endured narcissistic abuse from her as well.One day, things got particularly bad and Sacha had come home to Thérèse laying a hand on Blamore whenever she'd usually intentionally try to hide it from his father, during times that he was around. And Blamore himself was scared of saying anything to his father about it. Because of this, Sacha wanted to get a divorce. But he also felt trapped in the relationship at the same time, because Thérèse said she would try to get sole custody of their child just to have something over him. This resulted in Sacha deciding to informally separate from Thérèse and telling her to not even come anywhere close to where they were or he would report her to the authorities for child abuse.This is when Blamore and it's father, Sacha, moved to the states for a new start. They decided to settle in Gotham and from there, Blamore could've sworn that life got so much better. They hadn't heard from Thérèse and Sacha had a great job as a prosecutor for the court. Which, Sacha continued to do because he believed that Gotham could be a crime-free place one day and be safe for everyone. However, shortly after Blamore had turned 18, he was visiting his father one day at his workplace and a very displeased relative of someone that Sacha had gotten the max sentencing for had come in with a gun. The last thing that Sacha ever did was try to protect his son from getting shot from the assailant then. Blamore did end up getting shot once, however, and was rushed to the hospital.No longer did he believe that getting strictly into law would change things in Gotham city. So, Blamore set his sights on becoming a forensic psychologist to still try to carry out what he believed his father would've wanted him to do — to help people and get rid of crime from the 'inside' so-to-speak by rehabilitating criminals — but Blamore was starting to lose hope. Things were not turning out the way he expected them to, as the people he tried to help still committed crimes, and this led him down kind of a depressive spiral as he felt it was his duty to make his father's wish come true.Though after becoming Burgeon, everything changed. It was like his eyes had been cleared after spending years in the dark. There was no helping these people, he thought, and so he resolved to let them destroy each other instead by stealing the same kind of 'seeds' he had consumed; and that way, Gotham could be reborn from ashes.
